Class Dojo

I use class dojo to encourage positive behavior. Every day students are either rewarded or deducted points depending on their choices. At the beginning of the year, we discuss our class values and what we think is acceptable behavior in our learning environment. The students are then held accountable for their actions.
Awards:
At the end of the month, students will choose their prize from the list of awards. Students can "buy" what they would like that add up to the amount of points that they have received.
Consequences:
Students are deducted points for disrespect to peers, school, supplies, and adults or when they are off task.

PBIS
The Mountain Home School District has adopted a program called PBIS. PBIS encourages students and staff to be more positive with each other. In every specials class, rubrics are given to the teacher to let them know how their class did that day. After ten gold stars, our class is allowed to choose their prize from a list of options. Our matrixes are posted around the school to remind the students what we expect for the Eagle Way.
